Senior Motion Graphic Designer

Sweaty Betty is looking for an experienced Senior Motion Designer to join our growing Creative team at a very exciting time for the brand. Reporting to the Digital Motion Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing creative in motion content across channels.  

A seasoned storyteller, you will be passionate about creating a premium motion visual experience that connects and engages our audience across our touchpoints and achieves commercial goals.  

This role will be instrumental in the Creative team. You will work closely with other designers and animators to deliver stunning work at the highest standard.  You will be full of ideas and execute market-leading motion content with a premium look and feel, working strategically and collaboratively with our Performance Marketing, Social and Content teams. 

Your video deliverables will play a key role on our marketing performance through our digital advertising campaigns across all social media platforms. They will also elevate the consumer brand experience on all our stores worldwide, our social channels, Sweaty Betty.com, and wholesale websites. You will be able to respond to a brief, ask questions, ideate and collaborate with a cross-functional creative team and develop video concepts in line with the briefs. 

Your Sweaty Betty Journey:

  • Work alongside the Digital Motion Manager, the Creative team as well as wider teams to execute market leading content across channels, including seasonal marketing campaigns, product category films for the website, content for stores, performance marketing, paid and organic social and the website

  • Animate a variety of short films: campaign roll out, promotional videos, customer testimonials, interviews, website content spots, store video, product videos for social, etc.   

  • End-to-end content creation, from storyboard through to hands on editing and animation/motion design

  • You will work alongside a small team of motion designers and freelancers. Working closely with the Digital Motion Manager, you will inspire and bring the best in more junior members of the team ensuring we are always delivering visually captivating output 

  • Ensure film content produced is optimized and edited specifically for each channel

  • Analytical focus in driving performance improvement through testing and learning with creative. Take an active interest in the numbers and setting goals to showcase the value and impact of the creative

  • Understand SB tone of voice and brand guidelines, bringing an elevated and premium feel to all creative output developed

Must Haves

  • 5 years minimum motion and film design experience

  • BA or equivalent in relevant art, design or interactive field

  • Creative mind and storytelling skills is a must

  • Expert ability using After Effects and Premier Pro

  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • A great craftsperson, with experience in Cinema 4D, Redshift, and interested in innovative approaches to design where you can continue to build on your skills 

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Not afraid to try new things and push creative boundaries! Test and learn attitude

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the wider teams and harness data and analytics to inform and optimize creative output. Balancing creativity with a commercial understanding is key

  • Strong knowledge of performance marketing channels with a focus on Instagram and Facebook, YouTube, display, affiliates, Pinterest, snap chat, Tiktok

  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of ad formats across different platforms and how to optimize creative to the relevant platforms and formats

  • Passionate about popular culture, music, sports, fashion, current video and animation trends, to channel that energy into memorable audiovisual experiences fueled by physical activity, sports, high energy lifestyle scenes  

  • Must be open minded to feedback, and flexible with amends required, being able to deliver creative for a variety of internal stakeholders and multiple platforms that have their specific requirements

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while simultaneously handling demands and changes  

  • Excellent written and communication skills
