Senior Fabric & Trim RD Manager
Your Journey
For this exciting new position, you will be bordering on obsessive when it comes to finding the best in innovation, performance and newness in all things fabric at Sweaty Betty. With the ability to translate the SB look and feel into clear and executable direction, you will work seamlessly with our in-house all women design team and other key departments (it’s personal) to help execute our overall brand strategy. With a rebellious spirit to challenge our current norms, explore trends and opportunities, you will be a driving force in the evolution of our product offering at SB. Your technical expertise will know no boundaries as you as you live and breathe all things fabric, trim and design within the athleisure world!
Your SB journey:
- You will lead the Fabric R&D team and set the R&D agenda at Sweaty Betty
- You will translate design intent into clear and accountable requests and briefs
- Create and articulate seasonal boards and trends aligned to our overall strategy
- Partner across the business to analyses and understand fabric needs and make recommendations
- Understanding cost implications and value proposition
Must Haves
To succeed in this role, you will have
- Excellent knowledge of yarn, knit and performance fabrications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
- Significant experience in the activewear market
- Proven management experience
- Understand Product Life Cycle
- Strong negotiation and influencing ability
