Business Central Developer

Sweaty Betty are looking for a Business Central Developer to join our rapidly growing IT & Systems team!

You are an individual who is excited about developing and introducing system processes in an agile and fast-growth environment. Working with all areas of the business, you will be passionate about collaboratively designing and implementing high quality solutions. You will be an integral member of our growing technology team, helping the business to get the most out of our systems.

Your SB Journey:

  • Working with all stakeholders to design and deliver impactful changes to the Business Central ERP system
  • Working with third parties to integrate Business Central with other systems
  • Working with the support team to investigate issues, propose and implement solutions
  • Working with the DevOps team to make sure the system is secure and performant
  • Challenging current ways of working promoting and implementing best practice change control processes
  • Documenting system changes for both technical and end users
  • Reviewing the long-term maintainability of the system, proposing improvements where appropriate
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of junior developers

Must Haves

  • 5 years’ experience developing Microsoft Business Central/ Dynamics NAV
  • An understanding of relational database design, you will be able to articulate the impact your decisions made as a Business Central developer have at a database level
  • Strong MS SQL skillset. You will be comfortable writing queries/ performance tuning
  • Experience working with source control, e.g. Git
  • Ability to work independently – you must be able to investigate issues and propose solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, you must be able to accurately understand business needs and concisely explain proposed solutions
  • Understanding and experience of the IT development lifecycle and associated process standards and methodologies
  • Experience working cross functionally to deliver results
  • Ideally, you will have experience in the retail sector
