Business Analyst

This role will report into the Senior Business Analyst and Solution Architect and be part of the wider team of 25. You will be responsible for supporting and gathering detailed business requirements, advising on and documenting designs, and performing testing so that we can improve key systems and deliver new technologies to Sweaty Betty.

Sweaty Betty has recently implemented its first ERP system, Business Central. With this foundational system in place, SB is keen to introduce new technologies that provide a better customer experience, improve operational efficiencies, or expand SB’s reach to new customers. With a customer focused, positive, people-oriented, and highly organised attitude, you will use your analytical and logical approach to gather and articulate requirements for new functionality. Working closely with external development partners as well as members of the team across all levels of the business, you will be passionate about ensuring these business requirements are translated correctly, suitably developed, and tested before release.

Your SB Journey will include:

  • Meeting with relevant stakeholders to gather business requirements and documenting them clearly and concisely using agreed upon formats
  • Work with developers and solution architect to develop a detailed design for the solution which meets the requirements. Documenting the design in a way that is easily understood by end users, developers, and the application support team  
  • Develop testing plans that consider the end-to-end impact of the changes and end-user use cases. Work with the business to get sign-off of the testing plans before executing them
  • Delivery of customer-focussed solutions
  • Taking a pro-active approach to all project activities – actively seeking out information that is required for the project and thinking ahead to what is expected at the each stage of project delivery
  • Support the business in ensuring that the Business Central (Navision) ERP system and integrated functional systems meet the requirement of the business in maintaining the integrity of the Data and the Functionality
  • Act as business contact, liaising with our third parties to solve issues with the timely running and accuracy of the data within the systems
  • Develop new ways of working to improve the efficiency of the system and business

Must Haves

  • Ideal candidate would have 3+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst on ERP and associated systems within a Retail environment
  • Previous experience of supporting business and IT change using either agile or waterfall methodology
  • Exposure to delivering end-to-end projects and supporting at each stage of the process, from initial requirements gathering through design, testing, and go-live
  • Strong visualisation skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into easy to understand diagrams and documentation
  • Understanding of the SDLC and associated process standards and methodologies
  • Working cross-functionally to deliver results
  • A passion for continuous improvements and delivering well-documented and executed solutions
