Born in 1998 in London’s Notting Hill, Sweaty Betty now has over 45 UK boutiques including concessions in world-famous department stores Harrods and Selfridges, plus eight boutiques and concessions in the US. Sweaty Betty is poised to grow in the US and there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.

Our US team is looking for a US Regional Planner who will wear several hats.  With responsibility for both US store level planning and wholesale orders, this Planner will have a strong understanding of the US Sweaty Betty customer.  They will have input into planning the Sweaty Betty range to meet her requirements in US retail boutiques.  They will have a key role in driving sales and profit by optimising stock distribution to all US retail boutiques.

What You’ll Be Doing

Planning

  • Work closely with the UK Product and Merchandising teams in the pre-season planning to ensure relevant US analysis and commercial ideas (e.g., product gaps, pricing) help shape range development
  • Attend 50% Design Reviews and seasonal planning meetings and Manager Feedback meetings in the UK to represent the US customers’ requirements
  • Develop and recommend seasonal inventory strategy for the US boutiques by analyzing buying trends
  • Ensure a constant and thorough understanding of our US customer and market through store and competitor visits and store manager and ambassador feedback research
  • Help to shape the SB range for the US based on US customer (sizes, leg lengths, etc.)
  • Provide recommendations for initial buying quantities based on store-level planning for US market (e.g., big winners, hot stores, etc.)
  • Complete ad hoc & regular analysis to present during planning meetings
  • Monitor store sales performance and identify stock opportunities and risks
  • Make recommendations for new US store opening packages & ensure stock packages arrive on time.
  • Attend weekly Merchandising team meetings with UK team
  • Regularly visit stores & build close relationships with managers

 

Other

  • Determine clearance strategy for US product for end of season stock
  • Report weekly highlights for trade meeting
  • Deal with queries from stores regarding store allocations and special requests
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments within the organization, both in the US and the UK
  • Work with US Wholesale to determine product deliveries and styles
  • Become an expert on our in-house retail system to be able to support stores and provide analysis
  • Ensure store delivery schedule is appropriate
  • Work with Visual Merchandising to ensure stock levels are in line with display strategies
  • Special projects as assigned
