What You’ll Be Doing

This newly developed role will be a key member of the Sweaty Betty Finance Team of 12 (including 2 in the US). With our growing presence in the UK and US, we are looking for a newly qualified Financial Accountant to drive and manage our statutory requirements. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is an exciting opportunity for a person to make a significant impact on Sweaty Betty.

The role will involve:

• Statutory financial statements for the group and entity financial statements in accordance with FRS102
• Corporate tax returns
• VAT returns
• Working with US tax advisors in collating information for the US tax returns
• PSA returns and working with payroll to complete P11Ds
• Provide technical guidance to the wider team
• Advising on financial reporting issues and the implication on the Group's financial statements
• Assist with implementing a control structure across the financial reporting process and in stores
• Balance sheet reconciliation review and revamp where necessary
• Other ad hoc duties

Must Haves

• An accounting qualification eg. ACA, ACCA
• Strong technical background in accounting, particularly with FRS102
• Advanced Excel skills
• An appreciation of the fast-paced nature of retail
• You thrive in a retail environment and enjoy being part of an evolving business and fast-paced environment
• You are not easily fazed by delivering on time and can handle changes with ease
• You are proactive
• An individual who enjoys communicating with all levels of the business
• Highly organised and enjoys the ‘detail’
• Able to meet deadlines
