Assistant Garment Technologist

Teaming up with her husband Simon, they embarked on a mission to create beautiful clothes for women who lead active lifestyles. A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our talented and meticulous Garment Technology Team of 5. Reporting in to the Garment Technologist we are looking for an individual who is passionate about growing their career in Garment Technology. What You’ll Be Doing

Your journey will include:

  • Reporting into the Garment Technologist, you will work with designers and buyers on a day to day basis to ensure creative briefs are fulfilled within the required time scale and sourcing limitations.
  • Support garment tech in weekly fit meetings with buying and design.  Ensuring the required information from suppliers is available during these meetings, giving input on fit problems and taking notes to relay to factories.
  • Along with Garment Tech, managing test report approvals and records, ensuring approvals are issued in line with the critical path and care labelling is accurate.
  • Assess factory AQL reports, highlighting any faults and possible issues to the tech team and the factory.
  • Carry out competitive shopping and researching technical innovations to help drive the product forward.
  • Collecting information following product wear trailing, informing the technologist and designers of necessary changes to ensure all products are fully functional and of a high performance.
  • Book and manage the weekly fit model, castings and fit log.
  • Gathering and summarising information on faulty stock from store staff, customer care and warehouse and relaying information to the tech team and the relevant factory.
  • General day-to-day administration.

Must Haves

  • At least 1 years experience in a garment tech team at a retailer, preferably fashion or sportswear
  • Ideally have knowledge of pattern cutting and garment manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and an approachable and friendly manner
